Bum-mer.
My poor bottom. After some humiliating x-rays involving some ladies that were definitely laughing at me behind that little “protect you from the x-ray machine wall”, it was deemed that my sitter isn’t broken, just terribly bruised and banged. I have never been that aware of my backside, I don’t consider it to be my best feature, so I usually just ignore it. At this point, it can’t be ignored. The pain is terrible! Sitting, standing, walking, all are a constant reminder of that terrible sledding accident. Sigh. The good news is that the Dr. prescribed me some pain killers… so while sitting is still painful, I get to spend the day in la-la-land, with my head in the clouds. The result is me smiling with googly eyes at the computer, half sitting on my chair, and randomly commenting on things I feel are extremely relevant to work, such as, “Mara is great at karaoke” or “I think that banana’s have a strange texture, kinda mushy and weird”. Or, my favorite, “Do you think that 9am is to early to go to lunch?” Ahh… yes, life is far more interesting when all you can think about is your ass. The best part is that I’m currently getting paid to do it, right now as I type this very work oriented blog. Also, it gives me the excuse to moon my friends. I innocently ask them, "Do you want to see my bruise? It's terrible." And then the fun begins.
Last night was Mara and Brent’s final final final farewell party. I didn’t really realize it until this morning… I am not going to see Mara every week now! Girl’s night is not going to be the same with out her. Mara…. I miss you already! You are moving to Sunny Cali, and leaving us all behind. Sigh… I apparently left before the real fun started… I can honestly say I have no idea what the pictures on her blog are from. Was not there for that part, and am not responsible for what ever happened. It was great to see Dave, Tabitha, and Marla again too! Poor Lacey missed out… but she had a good excuse. I think that it’s pretty funny, earlier this week, we were chatting and she told me she had gotten her cold from Jeremey, but it had totally been worth it. Last night she had begun to wavier on that opinion… : )
I’m beginning to get a little sad here… it feels like that fateful after high school day when all your friends head off to college or new jobs in new cities far away. Things are changing, and it’s kinda scary. New and exciting, but still a little scary.
I’m headed to Whistler next weekend. I hate snow, but I’m going to Whistler! Yess!!!! Funny, I mention it last night and Meagan asked me if I skied. I laughed and reminder her that I hate snow. I’m going to keep my sister company. She is only a month and a half pregnant, so she can’t ski or snowboard, but her husband is going and she doesn’t want to be stuck in the lodge all day by herself. The hotel room is a killer deal, and I do think that snow is pretty, so it should be fun. Yes, I did say that snow is pretty. But you can hate pretty things. I can’t currently think of anything else besides snow at this time. But I will shortly. Um…. Wait…… Darn it. This stupid medicine is causing me to loose my train of thought. Is it lunch time yet? Is 9:30 to early for lunch? Oh ya, by the way… my sister is totally knocked up! Ya! They have been married for about three years now, and they apparently decided to start having kids! I have already nicknamed the baby my Neicphew, since we don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. I think that the funniest part was when my dad asked how far along she was. Sarah responded with “seven weeks today”… and then she got this look on her face… and said…”well, this evening”. You could watch my dad’s face go from “Oh, ok” to “Eww… they totally did it seven weeks ago, gross!” I laughed so hard. Poor dad. Yes, that is how she got pregnant. (And yes it’s kinda unnerving and I try not to think about it.) I leave you to ponder that today.
