Have a Holly Jolly Christmas... and a Hap-hap-happy New Year!!

Whoa… before I get mobbed for not blogging, I have been on the down and out, (versus the high and in? I wasn't ever that cool in highschool to be high and in. Sad. But good for my short term memory. What was I saying again?) I also have been super busy helping with my cousin’s wedding. The last week has consisted of this, work, help with wedding, work, wedding, work, give turtle to other cousin Amy, work, decorate for wedding, go to wedding, come home, go to Mara’s going away party, come home, and then be sick for two days. Awesome.
Aren’t you glad that I filled you all in that?
Being sick was terrible. I got that nasty, nasty stomach flu that is going around. I’m not going to get into it. Ever since my sister and I had to lecture my mom about how we didn’t feel that it was appropriate for her to ask her Bible study group to pray for her diarrhea to stop, I feel hypocritical when I bring up embarrassing things like that. I love my mom so much, but she kinda crossed the line there I think. Hmm… In conclusion, I must have looked as terrible as I felt, because even the roomie took pity on me, and asked me if I was okay. I requested a glass of water. The roomie was super nice and made me some jello too. (Easy on the way down and easy when it comes back up too. Thank you!) I didn’t die, even though I thought I was going to, and Tuesday I reported back to work. Still feeling a little queasy, but I love the fact that I’m spreading the germs. Who wants a big Christmas hug? How about a kiss? : ) I did get in some quality time with the TV. Unfortunately the TV in my room doesn’t get cable, so I watched a lot of infomercials. They put me to sleep anyway, so it was a win-win situation.
Anyway. Christmas is moving along, I have almost all my shopping done. I had it done, and then more people got invited, so that requires me to do a little extra shopping.
I spent last night wrapping the gifts that I have gotten so far. I’m still a little sickly from the weekend, so I didn’t put much effort into it. I know, it’s kinda sad, but true. One year I went all out and wrapped all of them in brown craft paper and made bows out of fabric. It was crazy. Not this year. This year I sponged wrapping paper off of a friend in exchange for my ribbon skills. Yes…
I’m pretty excited because I got my dad some golfing shoes this year. Unfortunately the golfing shoe salesman tried to pick me up for his buddy/co worker. I was a little offended. He was kinda jerk-ish about it. I mean, seriously, do you really think that I’m going to take your friend out for a beer because you just sold me some golfing shoes for my dad? No. I’m sorry. I felt bad for his friend/co-worker, because he was totally embarrassed about it.

Um, ya. So Rene is totally coming to see me for New Years! Ya! Meagan, Rene and I are going to check out First Night! Yes…. It is going to be awesome. I’m actually excited. Plus, the tickets are pretty cheap, I think that they are like $11 or $12!! Sweet! That is enough to feed one child in Africa for two weeks, provide them with clothing and education needed to help them succeed. Ahh… I guess I did absorb some infomercial there. Sorry….Now if only I had ordered the thighmaster that makes julienne fries, I would haven’t get another present. Darn it.
