I'm Still Alive!!!

Ahh… Yes. The need to Blog… the call of the blogger…

So here are a few updates in the world of Becky:

I MOVED! YA! Not just across the city, but across the state. I’m West Side now… can you roll with that? Uh….hu. Word.
The move was not as bad as I thought that it would be. I was pretty well packed before the fam showed up to help and so that kept things moving… Hee…hee… get it? Moving! HA! Anyway. Ben, Abby, Pat, Sarah, Allan, Bobbi and my parents were all there to help out, which made the packing part go quickly. We crammed everything in to the trailer that my dad had rented, and we began the trek. We actually made decent time, and Rene was there to meet up with us on the other side to help unpack. I don’t think that anyone was too thrilled to discover that I live on the third floor. I did forget to mention that when I was recruiting help… Oops. In conclusion I would like to thank the brave souls that carried my five hundred pound tv up three flights of stairs: Pat and David. Because of you, I can continue to watch The OC, Season Four. It’s true. The New Roomie and I are forever indebted to you.
In other news, my job is AWESOME! I love the people that I work with, they are a hoot! Things were kinda crazy at first learning everything new and still helping out in Spokane, but they have leveled out. I am going on my first official business trip this week. Monday I am flying back to Spokane to do some training and the company is putting me up in a hotel with a rental car and everything. I know. I hope that I get asked at the airport if I’m flying for business or pleasure. I have been practicing my reply in the mirror. It’s a quite profession smile and a “Business, and you?”
Howard is adjusting to city life. At first he was very upset that he had to be on a leash while doing his business in the lawn, but he is getting used to it. This morning he was just dragging his feet up the stairs… I think he is tired of having to walk up them all the time too. The first couple of days I almost didn’t make it back up them. Feel the burn! It doesn’t help that my office is upstairs in the building and all the people that can answer my questions are downstairs. That equals all day up and down the stairs… up and down… up and down. Today I am wearing some super cute flip flips that have tripped me twice on the stairs as well…. So it goes from flip, flip, flip…. To flip, flip, flop, “ouch!”, thump, “hee…heee….”, flip, flip.
My new apartment is so cute! It’s exactly the right size. It’s so nice that the New Roomie and I have our own bathrooms. It’s really nice because she works some early and then some late hours. For sure. That woman is almost never home! She is working two jobs, one of them at four different locations. Crazy! But she loves it, so it’s a good thing.
Hmm… What else is going on in my life. Well… life is good. I love the weather, and the people, and the new place. I am excited to make new friends, see new sights and learn my way around. About that learning my way around thing… It’s not going so great. It’s getting better, but it was pretty rough the first couple of days. Poor Lacey came to visit me, and she got super lost and called me for help. Of which I could not offer any. I pretty much just guessed and told her to take a left. But she found her way, and we had a great visit!
I apologize, I do not have any type of reliable internet at this point. I attempted to go by the library, but it was full of 13 year old’s checking their My Space and I didn’t want to wait. So I will be checking in now and then, but not to reliably until I get around to calling Comcast.
