Hmm..... So I was reading through some of my old blogs... and I just really appreciate my own sense of humor. I know, it's probably somewhat self involved to say that. But its the truth. I do own my mental sanity to my sense of humor. I think that if I couldn't laugh at myself, well, I don't know how I would survive. : ) Plus, I love the fact that I can always be entertained, even if it's just by myself. How many other people can really make themselves laugh so hard that they cry? Wait the goal was not to cry. Darn it. Anyway
In other news, wait...h I feel like the clicking coming from the living room is the tv turning off and on, let me check.... Weird. Nothing is going on. Random.
Anyway, things have been okay. Last weekend was quite the weekend. I managed to be up late two nights in a row! I know!! I had to prep for it though, by staying home and resting up two days before the weekend. Talk about your age hitting you. Man, I was wiped out all day on Saturday and then Sunday (after getting home at 4am) well, lets just say that some serious sleeping in happened. Until 10am. Then BFF and I hit up one of my all time favorite chow places, The Cheesecake Factory. They have a chop salad there that even entices me. And I am not a big fan of the green stuff. Maybe I like it because it's chopped so small, that it is really well disguised and it doesn't look as salad-ish. Perhaps.
Oh, speaking of awesme things, guess what? I have a friend who works in Seattle and she totally saw Dave Matthews. I know!! I love his music. How cool is that? I live in the same area as ROCK STARS! I knew that moving would be good for my image. : )

Really... I mean really?

SATURDAY OCTOBER 20, 2007
A man matching the description of a suspect who robbed Zions Bank in Burley on Sept. 12 returned to rob the same bank Wednesday just after 4 p.m. Following a high-speed chase that led officers from Cassia County Sheriff’s Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Department and Idaho State Police (ISP) over highways, fields and gravel roads west of Burley, the suspect was apprehended when he drove his vehicle off Highway 30 into a canal near Murtaugh.
Cassia County Undersheriff Cary Bristol said the suspect later identified himself as Steven Parker, 33, of Jerome. Background checks uncovered a number of warrants for Parker’s arrest, including at least one federal warrant. After being taken into custody, Bristol said Parker confessed to committing the Sept. 12 robbery of Zions Bank as well as Wednesday’s. Bristol said it appears Parker was also involved in a 2002 robbery of the same bank n a crime for which he was convicted. Parker violated the terms of his probation and had been on a federal wanted list for the past nine months. The first report of Wednesday’s robbery went out as Parker exited Zions Bank on the northwest corner of Overland Avenue and Main Street in downtown Burley. Bristol said a nearby businessman, hearing the call on a police scanner, reported seeing the suspect drive away from the bank in a late model Ford pickup. As Parker drove west on Main Street, he passed a city employee who also heard the robbery reported. The city employee, whose identity was not released, followed Parker west on Highway 30 and was able to read part of the truck’s license plate. Police say, when Parker began driving at a dangerous speed, the city employee stopped following him.By that time, Cassia County Sheriff’s Department personnel had dispatched a number of its own units to engage Parker, and requested the aid of several ISP and Twin Falls units. “Twin Falls and the State Police got involved in this and they really helped us out a lot,” Bristol said. Officers briefly lost track of Parker when he drove south of Highway 30 into the fields in western Cassia County. But Cassia Deputy Eric Nebeker said he spotted Parker’s vehicle as the suspect drove over a rise just east of Milner Dam. He said it appeared the suspect would try to cross the dam into Jerome County. As he gave chase Parker turned southward, back toward the highway. Bristol said Parker reentered Highway 30 on the border of Cassia and Twin Falls counties. The chase continued until Parker drove off the highway near mile post 230, lost control of his vehicle and slid into a canal. Nebeker said the pickup sank quickly with Parker inside. Parker was able to escape and swim to the canal bank, where officers were waiting to take him into custody. Cassia County Sheriff’s Department Dive Rescue Team members later found the pickup under water just north of a Highway 30 bridge over the canal. A towing company extracted the vehicle and transported it to the Cassia County impound lot. Bristol said the sheriff’s department will now confer with the county prosecutor’s office about the necessity of a search warrant for the pickup. Until then, he said, it is not known how much money Parker stole or if the money he stole is still inside the pickup. During questioning, Parker confessed to committing both the Sept. 12 and Wednesday’s robberies, Bristol said. Parker told police the weapon he used Wednesday was a BB gun. Nebeker said it was discovered the pickup Parker was driving was stolen from a Nevada owner. Its license plates also appear to have been stolen, as they are registered to a car belonging to a resident of Jerome County.

Greetings from the Coast of the East!!
All is going well, and so far my trip has really been a blast. There were a couple of hairy times, not as is in actual hair, as in things were a little ittsy bittsy iffy, but all in all, this trip has been super fun. I love my Aunt Ruth dearly, and it's been a blast getting to know my Uncle Dan. They are so great! And it's also been good to spend the time with my mom. You know that point where you grow up enough to realize that your mom is more then just a mom, she is also a person? That didn't come out quite right. What I'm trying to say is that as a child, your mom is on a different level then the people around you. But (now that I'm old) I have been able to really appreciate her as my friend as well as my mom. But enough squishy-ness for now, here it is pushing eleven (that's 8pm for you West Coaster's) and the alarm is going to go off at 8am (that's FIVE AM in real time, I mean West Coast time).
I promise to save up all the funny stories and probably write them out later.

Attack of the Spider

I just almost died. I thought you should know. I was at work, and I was running around in the back of the office putting tabs on vans that are not currently out in the field. As I walked in between a van and the office, I bent down to duck under the mirror....and I felt it. That sinking feeling as my hair snagged in a spider web. I jumped up and turned around. I couldn't see the spider!! Everyone knows that where there is a web, there is a spider.
So I flip my hair upside down (all the while screaming quietly) and start shaking it, and runing my hands through it. Satisfied that the spider isn't takng up residence in my hair, I stand back up again. Only to look straight in to the face of an electrician.
I looked at him, and all I could say was, "Hey!"
Struggling to recover from the shock of watching me dance around while ripping at my head, all he could respond with was, "Umm... Hey."

And that is why people think I'm crazy folks. That is why.

Ya! So I spent the other night typing my little heart out, and then somehow it disappeared. So then, because I am lame (only sometimes, don't worry, most of the time I'm awesome) I thought that I deleted it. BUT!!! THEN!!! I logged in to write it over and AHH!! IT was there. My precious. Group hug. : ) Enjoy it!

August 9th! I haven't posted since August. I know. You are thinking, "Really Becky, what could possibly be happening that is so important it is keeping you from posting. We need to know what that is!!" (Thank you my one faithful reader, you know who you are!)

I have been busy... I have no real excuse. What was I thinking? But then Cosmo says that I shouldn't have to apologize for my hermit streak, because what am I? A socialite? I wish.

So here is the update.

Work is okay. It's really freaking slow out in the field, and so lay-off started. At first I was worried, because I have a tendency to worry. They I became extremely worried, because I have a tendency to become extremely worried. And then that was it. I heard somewhere that only 8% of what you worry about you ENTIRE life ever comes true. I know. All that time that I could be blogging and I spent it worrying. Such a waste.

Here is a list of things that have happened since my last blog:

1. I learned a second language. Okay, I didn't but it has been that long and wouldn't that be cool if I did speak a second language. I think if you are smart enough to speak a second language (BESIDES pig latin, which is lame anyway and I say that not because I can't speak it but because any language named after an animal just isn't real. We have all seen The Emperor's New Groove. Squeek-em, squeak, squeaker.) Anyway, before I so rudely interrupted myself, I think that you should be recognised for the ability to be bilingual. It's smart and smart is cool kids. Drugs are not.

2. My car broke down twice. The first time set me back $600. The second time it was fixed for free by my new hero, who also is my Roomie's little brother. I really could start quite the rant here about how I remember him being about three feet tall and now he is about six feet tall and apparently can fix cars. Talk about changes!

3. Hmm... I went to NV for girls weekend! YA! That was really fun! I think that we all had a good time. NV is okay. I mean, I just really love the PNW, what can I say? The green, green trees, the Mountain, the weather. Love it. Never leaving. But I was proven wrong, there are trees in NV, they are just hiding. : ) You have to know where to look for them.

4. I just (as in TODAY) got back from riding quads with the fam in Moses Lake. That was really cool. Super fun. I got some sweet air on my dad's bike. Oh, and I totally got to hang out with Baby Kaitlyn, who, consequently is my favorite relative. Sorry, everyone else is out. I know, the truth hurts. But if you met Kaitlyn, you would understand. I mean, she can by your second favorite person. I know that, in my heart and yours, I will always be number one.

5. I'm going to New Hampshire! Hello East Coast. I have missed you! : ) The trip is going to ROCK. I'm so excited for it. I'm going to see my Aunt Ruth (She doesn't know that she got bumped down the list of fav relatives yet, so keep that on the down low, FYI) and Uncle Dan. Oh, and I'm traveling with my Mom! At first I think that I felt kinda old, because isn't that what you do when you retire and you haven't been chained yet, I mean, married? But then I was reminded by myself (thank you self, nice call) that my Mom is awesome and we both love the museums, and the coffee, and wait... maybe that is where I get my personal awesome-ness from. My Mom. Hmmm.... I think that it may be a combination of that and a few other things. Like the crack. Oh, and they year that I spent apprenticing under the group of Master Ninjas at the Patch of Sunshine. That may have had something to do with it.

Anyway, my feet are cold and it's time for bed, so I'm outta here. Federline Yo.
